Initially, I was educated
as a pharmacist at the University of Michigan and then as a lawyer at the American
University Washington College of Law. Following law school, I was offered the opportunity
to serve as a Law Clerk for the Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court.
Also, I taught Pharmacy Law at the University of Washington before I entered the
practice of law in Seattle, Washington. For 36 years, I limited my practice to representing
patients who were injured by dangerous pharmaceutical products or medical malpractice.
I came to Stay In-Home Mortgage, Inc. as a curious consumer who had refinanced my
home with an adjustable rate mortgage in order to fund a contingency fee legal practice
that was waiting for several high cost cases involving serious personal injuries,
to go to trial or settle. When trial dates were delayed, my wife and I considered
selling our home. My wife suggested we consider a Reverse Mortgage, but I rejected
that idea because of the mistaken belief that we would have to give up title to
our home. Then I stumbled across Stay In-Home Mortgage, Inc. and I was surprised
to learn how effective a Reverse Mortgage is. My wife and I would be able to stay
in our beloved home for the rest of our lives without ever making another mortgage
payment. This also enabled me to use the money I had borrowed to continue the fight
for my clients.
In the course of my interview with the people at Stay In-Home Mortgage, Inc., I
was so impressed with the products that they had to offer and the competency of
the loan officer with whom I spoke, I asked for more information about the company
and its owners. I was promptly introduced to Marty and Brandon Taylor who intrigued
me with their mission to provide high quality education and service to senior citizens
in need. Apparently they were equally interested in my long career of helping people
in need. They told me that they were looking for corporate counsel who had a passion
for helping people, rather than someone who had expertise in protecting their industry.
We agreed that I would be trained as a licensed loan officer so that I could thoroughly
understand their business. Then, as I finished my work representing people who had
suffered injury from pharmaceutical products, I could turn to helping other seniors
who could use their existing home equity to fund their future dreams. As a loan
officer, I focus on solving challenging problems for seniors with higher valued
homes and those with legal obstacles to a Reverse Mortgage for any value home. I
welcome the opportunity to help you.
